Strategic Link between HR Practice and Achievement of Organizational Objectives in Contemporary Organizational Set up
Abstract
The potential utilization of employees' skills, knowledge, and competencies in an organization can greatly enhance organizational performance. Strategic human resource management is crucial in any business as it influences the work, attitudes, and performance of employees. Human resource policies encompass various essential practices that can positively impact organizational performance, including human resource planning, recruitment, selection, training and development, compensation, performance management, and employee relations. When an organization determines its mission and aims to achieve it, the employees become the key to success through their performance and therefore the significance of strategic human resources becomes evident in this context. The success of a business undeniably relies on its human resources, and the development and motivation of workers within the organization play a vital role in achieving organizational success. Human resource strategies align the human resource functions with the business strategies of an organization. This paper will explore the strategic link between HR practices and achievement of organizational objectives in the contemporary organizational set up by examining various literature, books, articles, reports, and surveys. The primary objective of this paper is to determine whether strategic human resource practices have a positive impact on organizational performance. It aims to raise awareness among employees, potential organizations, and both the government and private sectors regarding the importance of strategic human resource practices.
